The Motorola Solutions DP4800e and DP4801e two way radio series is an advanced range designed to improve employee communications, safety and productivity. These powerful radios can be easily programmed using either the Mototrbo 2.0 CPS or with Motorola Radio Management Software.

The Motorola DP4801e is the highest-end digital two-way radio from Motorola. It has every feature possible on a digital radio. It can work with both VHF and UHF frequencies between 136 MHz and 174 MHz and has built-in Capacity Plus compatibility, meaning it will work on the system without requiring additional licensing.

It has an array of safety features. With the introduction of the Enhanced version of this device you’ll find that there are some improvements made to the design of the radio as well as some enhanced functionality. The new design is aimed at increasing user safety with the inclusion of an emergency button which has Transmit Interrupt, this feature stops any current conversations to allow you to broadcast an important message. There is also an integrated accelerometer which senses if the radio is dropped and will activate an alarm for your team to assist with the location of the device.

The DP4800e is compatible with the MOTOTRBO 2.0 CPS which allows you to program one radio at a time or, for larger fleets, the MOTOTRBO Radio Management Software can be used to program all of the devices in a batch to a standardised template. The radio can also be customised with your own logo to help with brand awareness and identification in the workplace.

Warranty

The Motorola Solutions MOTOTRBO DP4801e digital two way radio is the top of the range and as such has the highest specification. It can access up to 1000 two way radio dealer channels and offers integrated Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and GNSS. It also has a large colour display, full keypad and can support text messaging.

It’s designed to be used in the most demanding of environments and is therefore ruggedised with a MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G rating meaning it can withstand a fall from a height, vibration or being fully submerged under water for long periods of time. It also features an emergency call out and lone worker signalling for additional safety in potentially hazardous situations.

All MOTOTRBO radios come with a standard two-year warranty. The warranty covers manufacturer failures, including faulty volume knobs, transmission and reception issues, and antenna malfunctions. Motorola Solutions also offers an optional Moto Care Accidental Damage Protection Plan that adds a further five years to the warranty. This covers accidental damage such as drops and cracks to the radio, but does not include theft or loss.

The DP4801e also supports Capacity Max digital trunking, which increases your radio’s capacity to connect to up to 3000 users across 250 sites, and allows you to integrate the system with other business communication systems like analog and TETRA. It can also be easily upgraded with the latest software through the wireless OTAP function.
