The WAGO 221 series splicing connectors have a compact design, making them 40 % smaller than the 222 series and further reducing space inside junction boxes. The splicing connectors can be used together with WAGO’s 2273 Series COMPACT push wire connectors or with other WAGO products with spring clamp connection.

The Gelbox is made from Cellpack-brand gel, which is known for its quality and reliability. Unlike conventional potting compounds, it is completely silicone-free and can be stored indefinitely. Additionally, it allows splicing connectors to be re-accessed without the need for removal of the carrier or the splicing connector itself. This allows for simple identification of conductors and easy maintenance, inspection and testing according to VDE standards.
